This notice explains what personal data SOFICO Defense receives through this website, why we use it and what rights you have. The website has no forms, no tracking cookies and no advertising.
1. Who we are
SOFICO Defense is the defense company of SOFICO Holding, registered as Sofico International. For this website, Sofico International is responsible for your personal data.
Until the defense mailbox is published, you can write to us about privacy at info@soficoholding.com.
2. What we receive
- Enquiries by email or phone: your name, organisation, contact details and whatever you choose to tell us about the requirement and the end user.
- Server logs: our hosting provider records technical data such as IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
3. Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry, and to prepare and perform any contract you ask for.
- To verify that the buyer and the end user are authorised, and to check counterparties against sanctions and export-control lists where the law requires it.
- To apply for the export licences and end-user certificates a transfer needs.
- To keep the website secure.
4. Who we share it with
We share an enquiry with the manufacturer of the systems it concerns, and within SOFICO Holding where needed to answer it. We use service providers for hosting and email, who process data only on our instructions. We never sell personal data.
Where the law requires it, we share information with the competent authorities, for example to obtain export licences.
5. International transfers
We and our partner manufacturers work across several countries, and our service providers may store data outside your country. Where we transfer data, we protect it with appropriate safeguards.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to answer you and for any contract that follows, and then for the periods export-control and other laws require.
7. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, including Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020), you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Write to us at the address above.
8. Changes
We will update this notice when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top.
